We are researching novel materials and nanotechnologies for the development of new flexible energy devices.
Q What is your research and what attracts you to it?
We synthesize thin films of materials with excellent functions on plastic films and apply them to various devices such as transistors, solar cells, thermoelectric conversion devices, and lithium-ion batteries. Although this is in the field of “natural science,” it is important (?) to be able to feel the atoms in the microscopic world. The results of our research are as we have aimed for. The sense of accomplishment when the desired results are obtained, as well as the thrill of encountering new and unexpected phenomena, are also appealing.
